Let me be honest with you.

I started my career as a buyer. Worked my way up to VP. Spent the last decade on the manufacturing side — running production, selling to buyers like my former self, overseeing collections from concept to delivery. I know this industry. I’ve lived it from every angle.

So when I launched Daisy-Bella, e-commerce wasn’t the mystery. I understood product. I understood the customer. I understood how to build something real.

The one space that was new to me was social media — finding my voice on the platforms, showing up in a way that felt authentic and true to who I am. So I explored it. I tried things. I even brought in outside help.

But here’s what I quickly realized: no one knows this brand like I do. No one knows this customer like I do. And I wasn’t about to hand that over.

There Was a Lot of Noise

Post every day. Go viral. Build a funnel. Run ads. Chase every new platform the moment it launches.

I tried it their way. It didn’t fit. Not because I couldn’t do it — but because it wasn’t right for Daisy-Bella or for the woman we serve. I knew it in my gut the same way I’ve always known what works and what doesn’t. That instinct didn’t develop overnight. It was built over an entire career.

So, I tuned it out. And I went back to what I know.

I Chose My Way.

I am an experienced merchant. I have spent my entire career understanding women, understanding product, understanding what makes someone pick something up and feel something. That is my foundation. And it is a strong one.

I decided to build Daisy-Bella the same way I’ve built everything else in my career — with deep knowledge of my customer, with intention, and with heart.

My way. Full stop.

What “My Way” Actually Looks Like

It means showing up. Consistently. With heart. In a way that actually sounds like me.

It means going back to my basics. Reading the customer. Understanding her from every angle — what she clicks on, what she stops at, what she picks up and holds onto. Whether she finds us online or at a pop-up on a Saturday morning, I know her. That knowledge doesn’t come from a course or a guru. It comes from a lifetime of doing this work.

And that is more than enough.

I’m making the touchdown. Just my way.

Here’s What I Want You to Remember

If you’re a woman building something — a business, a dream, a second chapter — you already have everything you need.

Take in new information. Stay curious. Learn the tools. And then filter everything through what you already know — because what you know is formidable.

You know your customer. You know your voice. You know your why. That knowledge is your competitive advantage. Lead with it. Trust it. Build from it.

Do it your way. You’ve always had what it takes.

With kindness and strength,

Mary Ann xoxo
