Here at Daisy-Bella, we know that words and actions need to work together to create a better world. It’s like the saying goes— positive action and positive words lead to success and improvement. When you purchase a t-shirt or bracelet from us we pay it forward making donations to the DB Women in Need program, an initiative that supports charities that give women and children the ability to rebuild their lives. We believe in helping organizations that give safe housing and programming. One that we will be adding this year 2019 will be Liberation House.
This program does important work offering treatment for both pregnant women and mothers who need addiction treatment, trauma therapy, and support. With counseling and group therapy, the Families in Recovery program gives women the time to receive long-term treatment through outpatient services, inpatient services, and housing support. It’s the only in-patient program in Connecticut that allows mothers to bring up to two children with them into the program. Partners can also spend time at Liberation House, which helps men work on transitioning into employment and housing. Liberation Programs truly embody what it means to heal from addiction and find new hope.
